The hottest hair trends for brides
By Carla Snuggs

Wedding season is well underway! Miami based celeb stylist Raphael Reboh of the famed Femme Coiffure talks trends for the latest in bridal tresses to ensure locks look picture perfect on a girl’s biggest day.  According to Reboh, we are currently seeing a diversity in trends for bridal hair ranging from Bohemian to sexy ala Victoria Secret runway to traditional elegance. Here are 3 bridal trends this wedding season!

Bohemian Braids

Ideal for a barefoot on the beach wedding, the bohemian bridal look can be achieved by simply braiding the hair. Braid strands starting at the middle of the crown and wrap around the forehead eventually pinning hair back and piling the remaining hair on top. Another beautiful bridal look is commencing the braid at the nape of the neck which is particularly elegant for a bride who opts for a tiara or ornate hair pin as opposed to a veil.  Bridal braids are beautiful for both straight and curly hair alike but of course can only be done on long locks.

The Voluminous, Va-Va-Va Voom, Victoria Secret Inspired Bride

Best when paired with a silhouette hugging, mermaid gown, the Victoria Secret Inspired Bride wears her hair full of volume and flowing down her back. To achieve this look, spritz roots with a great root lifter, I always recommend Rene Furterer products and spray hair upside down using a large round brush.

When hair is fully dry, spray hair with gentle hold spray and use hot rollers for ultimate volume. Use fingers to separate and fluff up your curls and then spray hair once more for added hold. This look is best complimented with a veil that will mimic the fluidity of the hair; tiara optional.

The Elegant, Timeless Audrey Hepburn Inspired Bride

The best way to achieve a timeless look on your big day is to go with a traditional chignon. Here are four simple steps to the perfect chignon. Part hair completely down the center and pick a side for the chignon to reset. Pull hair to one side and create two ponytails, one in each hand. Tie smoothed down hair into a loose knot. Wrap one side around to the right and stick hair with a pin to hold. Repeat on the left side and hold with a pin. Finish off with a medium-hold hairspray. A large floral pin or other decorative hair accessory is the perfect complement to a bridal chignon.

The best advice for bridal hair is make sure you are comfortable with the style, says Reboh. From dress to venue, down to your hair, a woman’s wedding is one of the most momentous and highly anticipated events of her life and should epitomize her style and vision of beauty.
