Beauty travel essentials and summer travel tips

When traveling this summer, we all want to pack light to save room and save money on baggage fees. But, we also want make sure we have the beauty products we need to accentuate and maintain our natural beauty. We asked Personal Travel Planner and Travel Blogger Kelly Ella Maz for her top tips when packing beauty essentials for a summer trip. Here are Kelly’s tips for summer travel.

Tip 1: For bottles or jars that could potentially leak, put Saran Wrap over the opening before putting on the lid.
Tip 2: For the perfect one-week supply of foundation and liquid highlighter, use a contact lenses case. It's much easier to pack than a whole bottle of foundation!
Tip 3: In order to bring as many cosmetics as possible in my small bag, concentrate on downsizing everything. Pour creams, lotions, shampoos and conditioner products in small travel-sized containers
Tip 4: Another space-saving trick is to swap out eyeshadow palettes for colourful Make-Up Forever eyeliner pencils. The pencils are much smaller than an eyeshadow palette, plus you don't need to pack brushes.
Tip 5: Whenever possible, pack solid products over liquids or powders. Kelly suggests Nars Multiplier stick as a blush, because there's no risk of a powder blush shattering in your luggage.
Tip 6: Absolutely anything that could spill or leak gets placed into Ziploc bags! “I'd die if something spilled in my Fendi makeup case!” says Kelly.
